1981	Establishes "Old Town Woodworks," in Petersburg, Virginia, specializing in historical reproductions of antique furniture and musical instruments. Begins 'new' two year private apprentice training program. Anthony concentrates on the development of specialty tools and fixtures designed to facilitate the exclusive use of hand tools in the creation of concert quality instruments.
1986	Artist in Action" for the Arts Council of Richmond's JUNE JUBILEE celebration of crafts in Richmond, Virginia's 10th anniversary celebration. Built a flamenco guitar in 72 hours, non-stop, employing traditional hand tool techniques and high speed superglues, on the "street" before 150,000 visitors to the festival. He fielded and answered technical questions as he worked providing an unprecedented display of the skills unique to the craft.
